With a customer orientated range of services the ASEAG since more than 125 years successfully meets the task ensure and extend the Mobility of the Aachener region as a competent service provider.
The dense bus-web of the ASEAG consists of more than 60 lines, connecting about 1.900 stops on a length of more than 1.400 kilometres. Currently they transport around 60 million passengers a year.
The AVV was founded in 1994 as a communal alliance of responsibles. To the area of the AVV belong the StädteRegion Aachen, as well as the districts Düren and Heinsberg. Within the AVV a standardized charge for the use of busses and trains in the local traffic is valid. The tariff consists of four price levels. Regardless of the fact which bus or train line is used or where the ticket is bought, within the AVV identical prices and ticets are effective.
About 5.000 trains take care daily for the fast connections in NRW. The trains serve about 600 trainstations and stops on the more than 4.000 kilometres long rail network.
The DB Regio AG is employed with the carrying out of the traffics on the national lines into the direction of Cologne, Düsseldorf, and further into the Rurgebiet, as well as with the regional traffic offer »the euregiobahn« in the Aachener traffic alliance.
The Dürener Kreisbahn GmbH (DKB) is an important traffic service provider in the district Düren. As traditional corporation with a varied history of 100 years it is tightly connected to the district Düren andits inhabitants.
125 qualificated and experienced employees are on active service at the Dürener Kreisbahn, to fulfill the obility wishes of the inhabitants and visitors of the region. 77 vehicles are in use on altogether 40 bus lines with a length of all in all 710 kilometres. More than 10 Mio. passengers are transported every year.
The Regional Traffic Euregio Maas-Rhein arised out of the Bus Traffic Rhineland GmbH and is to 100 percent a daughter of the DB Regio. 41 own and 185 further busses of contract corporations are running daily on the 60 RVE-Lines in the AVV and VRS. On the 1.460 kilometres long web of lines about 14 million passengers are annually transported in city and district Aachen, as well as in the districts of Düren, Heinsberg and Euskirchen.
The RVK is a traffic corporation which is in communal maintenance since 1996. In the year 1976 the corporation arised out of an amalgamation of the railway and the postal- and omnibs services. In the time from 1978 to 1995 the RVK belonged to the consortium "Vereinigte Bundesverkehrsbetriebe GmbH" (VBG).
The traffic area extends over the Rheinisch-Bergischen Kreis, Oberbergischen Kreis, Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, Rhein-Erft-Kreis, Kreis Euskirchen sowie Neuss, Düren, Märkischer Kreis, Kreis Olpe and the cities Cologne, Bonn, Leverkusen, Solingen and Remscheid. The RVK cosequently connects urban conurbations with sparsely populated, rural areas.
1993 the district Düren took over the lines Linnich/Jülich - Düren in the north, and Düren - Heimbach in the south of the district, from the German Bundesbahn. The two railway lines today build the backbone of the public local traffic in the district Düren.
With participation of the private R.A.T.H. GmbH the product Rurtalbahn was in the year 2003 out of the hand of the Dürener Kreisbahn converted into an independent corporation, the Rurtalbahn GmbH

In November 1995 the foundation of the Stadtverkehr Euskirchen GmbH (SVE), as a 100 percent daughter corporation of the city Euskirchen, took place. Besides different other services, like the administration of the car parks, the SVE is responsible for the organisation and carrying out of the 11 lines containing city bus traffic in Euskirchen.
Founded in 1934 by Peter Taeter and Arnold Ziemons, the corporation looks back on a long history and could establish itself permanently on the traffic market until today. Since then, TAETER Aachen developed into one of the biggest private traffic corporations in Germany. In Decembre 2000 Taeter was overtaken by Connex traffic. By the end of 2006 TAETER Aachen was melt with Veolia traffic Rhineland and since then is the bus part of the Veolia traffic Rhineland.
TAETER Aachen is founding member of the Aachener Verkehrsverbund and runs the city busses in Alsdorf and Herzogenrath for more than 50 years.
TEC or rather "Transport En Commun" for public traffic describes 5 public traffic corporations, operating in the area of the Wallonian region: TEC Wallonisch Brabant, TEC Charleroi, TEC Hennegau, TEC Lüttich-Verviers and TEC Namur-Luxemburg
These 5 corporations are cobined under one roof of a mother company: the S.R.W.T. Société Régionale Wallonne du Transport, which is responsible for the strategic and business administration.
The WestEngergy and Traffic GmbH (west) arised in 2003 out of a fusion of the Kreiswerke Heinsberg GmbH and the Westdeutsche Licht- und Kraftwerke AG from Erkelenz.
With almost 100 own and more than 60 from sub-corporations rented vehicles, the west runs for you daily on four speed bus, seven city bus and 21 regional bus lines between the cities and municipalities of the district Heinsberg, but also in the neighbour districts and cities.
